I have 3 x 5w Luxeons, they are all bin W5VW

Each one is hooked up to a SEPERATE Downboy 700 with 11V battery input.
Here is the results I measured for each LED

Battery Input for the Downboys 700: 11V
LED 1: 0.019mA Led V:5.46V
LED 2: 0.021mA Led V:4.87V
LED 3: 0.630mA Led V:7.16V
The only LED that is working correctly is LED3 (I think - altough I would have expected 700mA rather then 630?). The light emitted of LED1 and 2 is accordingly dim.

The downboy-Led assembly 1 and 2 is not working. Now my question is, what do I need to replace? The downboys or the LEDs?

My guess is that its the Downboys. Or does anyone have an other solution?

Basic troubleshooting time. The key is to sub divide the problem. Either try the 'good' LED on the 'bad' converters, or the 'bad' LEDs on the working one......

I just tried the working downboy with LED 1 and 2, and it's defenitely the 2 Downboys that are not working... I hope Wayne exchanges them for working ones...

You asked for the econony mode option I think on the first two. In that case the resistors are set for 1/10 the output current... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously. It does sound like you have two duds. I can replace those if you want.

Is your icon there the Star Wars Kid thingie? I don't see his light sabre.

You can email me or post here. I'd like a little more info on your setup just be sure.

Thanks,

Wayne

Thanks for answering...
Well my icon is actually a dancing spiderman :)
I had to shrink it as the large version takes too much space for those with the dial up connection..

The full version of dancing spidy can be seen here

I have already sent you back the two DBs, just replace them.
Thanks for the fast answer and great support.
