If I had a 6D Maglite, a 3d extension...

...metal reflector, glass lens and FiveMega ceramic bipin adapter, what bulb could I use?

I've been lurking and searching for a while, particularly at 3D mag mods involving AA adapters, but I don't think I've found "The Bulb." I'm looking to go about as bright as I can with this setup, even at the cost of runtime. After all, a 9D Mag was never going to be super practical in the first place.

If all else fails, I suppose I could go with a 6D ROP.

Osram 64656 will give 14'900 lumens at 28V powered by 7 x 26650 cells.

I have a 6D mag with 5 x 26650 and a Osram 64458 that gives 7300 lumens.

I had not come across that, thank you very much! Some great info in that thread, but I might have to go with a 12D to get the voltage I need for the lumens I want.

So to follow up-would it be safe to use four of these in series? Might be a stupid question, but I'm not looking to make a three foot pipe bomb.

This is probably your best option. Ni-cads aren't very good anymore. Preferred battery would be Ni-mh or Li-ion

yea it would be fine.
nicd are very safe and take lots of abuse, however i'm, not too sure magcharger pack is capable of 10A discharge and live long.
