Greetings all. Ok, here it is... An Arc AAA mod with three 5mm LEDs. The mod uses the popular Zetex circuit to run three white LEDs of unknown vintage. I built it as an experiment to see if it was viable. The LEDs are being run in parallel and had to be "customized" by removing epoxy to get them to fit in the head. It casts a beautiful artifact-free beam and gets quite warm after a few minutes of operation. Sorry, I didn't look at the current draw.

It works, but the output is somewhat disappointing. Perhaps I'm not driving the LEDs hard enough or too much of the casings were shaved away, but the beam isn't much brighter than a stock Arc AAA - a testament to Peter Gransee's circuit design. I suppose if I had better LEDs and tweaked the circuit a bit it might be brighter, but the effort involved to built it was not worth the outcome. Sorry guys, but this one is all I'll be building.

Thanks for looking and thanks to CPF!!!
