Yes!

The Streamlight Stinger series is probably the most successful high end re-chargable lights in the world!

A favorite of LEO's. I have a friend who has a Stinger HP, and it is a very nice light. 40,000 CP, very WHITE, for an incandecent, (not yellow), and while not the absolute perfect SureFire beam,
it is pretty close.

Long bulb life, no memory problems with the battery, dependable, designed to always be kept in the recharger, a very good dependable light.

Do a search on "STINGER" or "ULTRASTINGER" and you will have a LOT of stuff to read about!

Hello,

Thanks for the replies.
I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with
these lights.

Also, i noticed they have halogen bulbs,
and i was wondering how they deal with the heat.

I made up a quick test light with a 20 watt
halogen and that bulb gets so darn hot, it
heats up the whole handle of the light!
The handle is made from approx 1 inch diameter
aluminum tubing about 7 inches long. The
bulb is at one end, but after about 5 to 10 mins
run time the whole handle gets too hot to hold.

Any ideas?

Take care,
Al
