Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had a newer Fenix MC11 with a larger emitter (than the xp-e). I have one with an xp-e and saw on the Fenixgear website an MC11 with what appears to be a much larger emitter. Larger even than an xp-g.

I really like the MC11 but do wish that the hotspot was larger, or that it had a smoother transition to spill. I'd be interested in beamshots of the new MC11 if it does have a new, larger, emitter.

i have no idea what emitter fenix is using in their new MC11.
but i agree about its beam. a smooth reflector and xp-e for that light doesnt really make sense.

i put a piece of phaserburn's diffuser film on the lens of my MC10 to smooth out the beam and make it more floody.

I think what you are seeing is a GIMPed (or photoshopped) picture of the LED if you are talking about the product picture.
It's been like that since 2011. Infact, here's the link to a post of the pictures that was extracted from their old site.
