I love my new PD35, but would really appreciate a similar size EDC light (or smaller) that could be removed from my pocket and get one push (preferably forward clicky) bright strobe.

i want incredibly bright strobe as primary.

I have searched and searched, and my brain really hurts. Help?

Does the Klarus XT11 "memorize" the strobe? Reading up on it, not sure it does?

I want true one-click strobe. A fast, "tactical" strobe.

The tactical interface allows the light to memorize any two of its modes, one head tight and one head loose. Tail clicky turns on to the mode selected by the head. Strobe is one of the modes it can memorize.

VOLTAGE RANGE 3V-9V
SPOT BEAM Angle: 13.9 degrees
Diameter at 3 meters: 730mm
FLOOD BEAM Angle: 73 degrees
Diameter at 3 meters: 4.44 meters
BRIGHTNESS LEVELS Moonlight: 0.5 lumens, 25 days
Low: 5 lumens, 4 days
Medium: 55 lumens, 14 hrs
High: 300 lumens, 3.2 hrs
Max:Burst at 780 lumens, 1 minute
then 390 lumens, 1.9 hrs

It has 2 forward clickies. 1 dedicated for instant strobe. It has momentary strobe and if you hold it for 2-3 seconds, it stays on when released.

I was playing with my PD35 last night and I found a way to get it to be 'nearly' an instant on strobe. If you hold down the mode button before turning the light on, and continue to hold it down after you turn the light on in 1 second it will go to the strobe mode.

That works pretty well! With a bit of practice I bet I'll be able to do it one-handed.

Good tip, thank you!

Any budget light that uses a stock Nanjg 105c driver can be set to do this, my wife's EDC is set like this.
Roche F12 is the one she has.

That's my nightstand light for this reason , on goes straight to full power.
And as you say the smaller clicky is strobe.

For several reasons, truthfully.

1.) new brass-coloured "stripper" pole in the master bedroom.

2.) very hot new girlfriend who insists on "performing".

3.) hmmmm....I think that's it.

Want to see pics of the new pole, it's really neat!
