Luxeon III bin?

I just received a few LuxIII stars from Future, and the bin codes on the back read "TX1H". Three questions.

1) Did I get a good bin?
2) I'd like to put one of them in a Blaster III, but I'm not sure what resistance to use.
3) The stars are attached at one wing. Do I need to use special care when snapping the connection?

Just your friendly neighborhood newbie asking for help. Thanks in advance!

Ditto on Rothrandir. That's the real good bin, I think. If you have any extras, just let me know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Roth and KJ,

I have 2 stars, one of them is going into a Blaster III (I hope). The second is a back-up in case the first meets its untimely demise during the modding process. Ugh. I have to practice soldering...

Thanks for the confirmation, guys!

TX1H,
Hmmmm, a SL that will eat 700mA at 3.03 to 3.29 volts?! I bet that puppy would be perfect in a 2D light to run a looooooong time. Good to hear the Luxeon III's are available in low voltage bins.
