I have an old P60 dropin I was thinking about trying my hand at modding. When swapping LEDs is it as simple as removing the old and re-soldering the new?

1) U have to desolder the existing wires off the MCPCB.
2) U have to remove the MCPCB off the pill, scrape off any thermal compound residue.
3) Put in new MCPCB with emitter with thermal compound & re-solder the wires on.
