Hey guys, can someone tell me if an SW02 tail cap be converted to a SW01 tail cap?

Not sure exactly what you mean by that ... :thinking:
They both have C-series compatible threads, and can be swapped.
The SW02 is a shrouded clicky, while the SW01 is a tactical twisty .... There have been mods which have replaced the SW01 internal switch assembly with a clicky switch, however.
The SW02 external shroud can be removed, too, I suppose.

Sorry, what I was getting at is, is the metal part the same and is it possible remove the big black rubber part at the end of the SW02 and replace it with a normal clicky rubber boot, would that make it a SW01?

Archemedes is right. The metal is different, threads are the same. I prefer the SW01 for actual use on hand-held flashlights. They are hard to come by these days....
