An iPAD AIR caught fire and emitted so much smoke and sparks that the shop was evacuated and the fire department was dispatched. Evidently the iPad AIR continued to emit smoke and sparks that resisted efforts by employees to extinguish the fire. It was reported that eventually an Apple employee removed the badly burned iPAD AIR and left the store. So far I have not found this story in English although there are plenty of comments on non-English sites.

If you are concerned about the possible fire danger of your new Apple product, place the item in a flat-rate shipping box and address to StarHalo..

PW, you changed your avatar! And yet, it is so familiar!

I find it fascinating that people assume you can stuff a lot of energy into a chemical cell and not be dangerous. Tesla's been getting bad press lately regarding Li-Ion fires too.
