I've had an AV/photo lamp bulb sitting around for a while. It's one of the ones for a projector like you used to use in middle school for transparencies. It is rated 120V/600W and I don't want to throw it out because it's expensive (but acquired for free) and cool. It's about an inch and a half long, half an inch wide, and has two prongs about a cm apart.
How would I make this a drop-in? I figure it would probably have to be plugged into an outlet to operate, but what sort of body would accommodate such a large bulb? Is this at all feasible?
