Hey everybody.

So as some of you have seen i've recently had a flashaholism relapse. As such i'm attaining/building some of my old favorites. Among those that I still have and/or are looking to put together are some of the high current incandescant lights like the Mag85, Mag11, Mag623, etc. What My main question is as follows.

Back in the day the CBP 1650 was the gold standard for high drain applications. I have been unable to find a source for these so i'm going to assume they aren't manufactured anymore. So what i'm looking for is an answer to what people are using now instead. I've seen some higher current lithium rechargables such as AW's IMR cells. But i'd like to stick with NiMH if I can as I already have a nice hobby charger to charge them with.

I do plan to get a Lithium rechargable setup eventually but it's not in the finances just yet.

I did a fast search and wasn't able to really find anything.

getting ready to pull the trigger on some high current AA's. Are the Elite 2000's pretty much the best i'm going to be able to get for a 10a + current drain?
