Hello guys,

the last weekend, i got the idea to put a MT-G2 LED in an Ultrafire C8 Flashlight. But there are some promblems with the heat. There will be very much heat, and the bad heatsink from the C8 wont get the heat away. So i have to find another resolution.

And i think, i had a good alternative idea:

a new head for the C8 :)

So i put in the original C8 Reflektor and the original glass with a MT-G2 LED on Chopper and build in a 5A Driver.

I use 2x 18350 accus and have 10 minutes runtime :D with maybe 3000 Lumens.

But the c8 body is very ugly in comparison with the new head. So i will build tomorrow a nice body for 2 accus and an extender for a third one for better regulation.

Best regards,

Michael

Very nice! Really like the work. Better make a nice body for it, will do the light more justice than a cheap host ;).

RC-Lights, I admire your work and your styling.
Perhaps I can commission you to make one of these for me sometime? :)

Wow, that really is an impressive piece. Looks like the short body is for 2x18350 and the longer one 2x18650. I'm curious why you didn't go with a 2x26650 body for much longer runtimes?

yes, you´re right. one for two 18350 and one for two 18650. the first idea was only use one handgrip for 2x18350 batteries. But later, i got another thought: With good 18650 batteries ( 3400 from panasonik for example ) i have a 5x longer runtime. At this moment, the head of the light was already machined, so the threads are to small for 26650 batteries.
