Has anyone done a real life run test? Results?
There was a rumor that there was going to be a gen 2 TL2 that is regulated....any news on that?

I have not heard of any run time tests. I have heard that there might be a new "unfocusable" model coming.

I have one that must have at least two/three hours on the batteries, and it is still bright, and useful. Really nice throw on this little LED.

Hey John;
I saw one of the unfocusables, but it had a smooth reflector and the beam was pretty yellow. Is yours a textured reflector?

What would be the advantage in this design change?

Aux- I don't think there IS an advantage.

I violate one of the "set in stone" beliefs of most CPFers. A fixed focus light, often as not, is NOT in focus because of variances in bulbs, reflectors, etc. I would MUCH rather have a method to "fine tune" the focus with each light source, leave the damn thing there, and go about my business. End of problem.

I also LOVE having the ability to go to a flood mode, ringy or not, when I need it.

I wonder about the smooth reflector change; the finely textured reflectors of mine give a tight, and artifact free beam.
