Hi all,

This was a personal light that I made this summer.

I built it for the made from scratch competition.

wegy.jpg

Its knurled from tip to tail, lest the fins and a few grooves on the tail cap (what can I say I like the stuff).

The battery in the picture is for size reference and NOT included in the sale.

The head is now sealed but here is a shot of the light engine.

As you can see its fully equipped with a copper core for maximum heat transfer.

The entire body is made from thick wall aluminum, and TYPE III HARD anodized.

There are a couple imperfections on the finish.

A slight bit of wear on the edge of the fins.

Where the knurl ends on the tail cap.

And a little wear where the switch retainer threads in.

The reflector is an orange peel with a soft beam and good balance of flood and throw.

Price is $275>$245>$225 Shipped. SOLD

I've yet to own one but I enjoy seeing your builds vestureofblood. What type of UI does it have, and is the emitter cool white XM-L2?

Thanks guys :)

moshow9,

Yes, the emitter is XM-L2 U2 cool. The UI is my sport interface, here is the clip from my maglite thread about it.

The UI consists of 4 groups.
1. Ramp mode low to high with memory.
2. Low 2%, Med 25%, High 100% with memory.
3. Low 2% Med 25%, High 100%, Srobe, SOS, Beacon, NO memory.
4. High 100%, Low 15%.

The light will come preset to your choice of group if needed.
Mode groups are switched by 8 fast clicks <.25 sec.
The driver has a low voltage flash at 3V to protect li-ion cells.
Upon entering the beacon mode there is a battery indicator flash. The light will quickly flash 1 time for each 0.1V above 3V and then enter the beacon mode.

Here is a video of the UI in action.

Hey Tessaiga,

I'm glad you like it :) The walls of the battery tube are .145" Around the front of the bezel about .168" Your certainly not short on heat sinking with this one.

All I can say is WOW!…
This quality of this light is right up there with any McG Aleph or Leef I have.
If you make any more "one offs" I'm going to have to snatch em up!
Cheers!
