Hey Guys,
after my last.. yes really cost intensive 4d M*g SST-90 i wanted to build another - more practical - not soo expensive flashlight.
Because i love the toughness and plain look i decided a 2C host. I´ll give you a short overview which parts I used:
Host: 2c Black M*g
LED: XM-L2-U2 on 16mm MCPCB
Driver: KD Super Output SSC P7 LED Driver Board
Batteries: 2x TrustFire (flamed) Protected 25500
Reflector: Rebel M*g LED Reflector
Heatsink: Selfmade from 30mm Aluminium thread
Yesterday evening i completed the Heatsink on the lathe and started by putting all the Parts together (love it
Everything is great, i can switch trough the modes and even on high the temperature won't get too high.
BUT- Here i come to the curious Problem: After putting the flashlight off, waiting eg. a Minute sometimes it won't get back on hitting the switch... even if i hit it 100x Sometimes it may work- sometimes not. If I wait about 5 Minutes everything is working again.
First i thought about a bad solder connection or short somewhere... But i checked the Board several times. And the Problem only occurs, when die Lamp ist being switched off. It doesn't turn off by itself. On the KD Page in the desciption is talked about overtemperature and undervoltage Protection. Is ist possible that overtemp alert oder undervoltage might hinder the lamp from turning on?
My next idea would be, to add another flywheel diode to the Driver at the input side. The protection of the Batteries could be the cause, too.
I would be grateful, for every godd Idea you have .

 ).
Glued the LED and Driver to the Heatsink with Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive, Putted everything together and yes, it works .
