Elzetta ZFL M60 and just received a Mac's custom Tri dropin which is supposed to be for a M60 host but which is too large a diameter to fit. The lens is the right diameter and the length is super close-maybe 1-2mm shorter, but the diameter is too large by a few millimeters. Any thoughts as to what host might work? BTW, Email to Mac unanswered so far. Thanks for any help.

From Mac: Elzetta M60 dropin module is unique to Elzetta thus the incompatibility. Thanks Mac!

The Elzetta was designed for use only with the Malkoff M60 module. Although the M60 and the Mac's drop-ins are both designed for use in P60 style lights, Mac's version is just a tiny bit larger (as you have already discovered).

The Mac's Triple will still work in any of the SureFire P60 based lights (6P, Z2, C2 etc) or many of the SureFire "clones" that are out there.

Yes, this is a relatively common point of confusion (unfortunately) ... Malkoff drop-in is compatible with Malkoff-type host (including MD2, VME, Elzetta, etc) and standard P60-type host (including SureFire P/C/Z-series, etc), but P60-type drop-in is slightly too large to fit Malkoff-type host
