Modding Maglite 3D with 3W

Sorry for asking this 'boring' question. I haven't done any mod with Luxeon before and I really can't find any very detailed descriptions with the parts needed and procedures, etc.

I'm no expert in the mod dept., but I would think fitting the Mag with a workable heatsink would be tough. I check WayneJ's ( http://www.elektrolumens.com/ ) site every few days to see what is available. His custom lights are designed to be modded and he has talked about using the Luxeon 3W in a future release.

WayneY also has plenty of mod info and parts at his site - www.theledguy.com Those are the ones I know about, but I'm sure there are more.

The Hotlips heatsink is what you want, makes the mod an easy one. Even I did it, so if I can do it, *anyone* can /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Search the forums for "hotlips" and you'll find a multitude of info...
