It is quite a bit smaller and lighter than the MF01S, which is already a compact pop can light. Considering how small and light weight it is, I'm surprised this thing can handle high output for so long. I guess having alot of high bin (high efficiency) emitters keeps the current to each very low allowing them to run at high efficiency so less heat created. The thing is like a mule, everything in close distance around you becomes painted in pure white light. I never seen anything like it. It's the type of light you would want if you were to enter a dense forest with tall trees as the flood will illuminate the entire scene beyond your peripheral vision and I don't notice any green, blue, or magenta; just pure sheet of white. Is also excellent for large indoor spaces where it lights up everything and absolutely no hotspot to cause overexposure when taking photos. Too bad there's no high cri version.

Using the Texas Ace lumen top calibrated with Maukka lights, I measured 28,800 turn-on lumens using VTC6 button top, Acebeam Protected Cell, and VTC5D with solder blob so looks like that's the max this light will go. Using Sanyo NCR18650GA unprotected button top results in 25,430 turn-on lumens. However lumen tubes always favor throw lights over flood. For example, removing optics in a FW3A to create a 180deg mule will result in about the same output measurement as with optic despite the optic theoretically reduces output by 15% or so. Therefore I think actual lumen at turn-on is more like 31-32k lumens.

Here are photometric measurements at moonlight mode:
    CCT: 6278K
DUV: 0.0057 (above the BBL therefore greenish tint)
    Ra (CRI): 70.9
    R9: -30.8
    Rf: 68
    Rg: 94
    Ra: 70.9

Here are photometric measurements at highest turbo mode:
    CCT: 6665K
DUV: -0.0013 (below the BBL therefore clean attractive pure white)
    Ra (CRI): 70.9
    R9: -30.8
    Rf: 68
    Rg: 94
    Ra: 70.9

Btw, the spring bypass in the battery carrier is the best spring bypass soldering I've seen

Edit: Vinh, is there anyway you can put some HI CRI emitters in there? I would love to get one with 4000K to 5700K HI CRI emitters. BLFers discovered a new 95CRI emitter and is hosting a group buy for it. Would this require a whole new mcpcb or can you somehow get them to flow onto the current mcpcb? Maybe you might want to get one to see if it's suitable for your mods.
Great report SKV! You've basically had the same reaction to this light as I did. Thanks for your photometric measurements too.
