SKilhunt K30 won't stay on

My Skilhunt K30 won't stay on more than a 5 ish seconds IF I leave it in the same mode. It will stay on as long as I swap modes every couple seconds. It also won't turn on it I don't turn it on before the blue standby indicator flashes more than once. I tried different batteries already. Both non-protected and protected. All of them were around 4.15v fully charged.

Any ideas what it might be? sounds like something going on with the driver. I noticed it has been discontinued. If they can't fix it, I might swap out the sst-90 for a sbt-70, change the driver and figure out a way to install an aspherical lens to make it a real thrower.
