So I'm pretty new to the 18650s and rechargeables in general. I have some KeepPower 3400mAh protected cells that I'm using in MD4 bodies with various heads. Just how closely do the voltages need to be for the pairs for safety? All of my cells show resting voltages of 4.16-4.19 via my Xtar VP1 charger's display after a full charge and rest. Is this close enough?

Yeah that's certainly close enough, if they are protected there's little risk of reverse charge (except PCB failure). The important thing is to periodically monitor for even discharge between the pair for a cycle or two - if they do discharge evenly, then keep the pair dedicated to the light.
