Do you prefer black or orange o-rings?

Why am I seeing a lot of black flashlights with orange o-rings?

A matter of taste, really. I don't care as long as they're made from a good material, and in the right size.

I believe there is a perception of quality with colored orings over traditional black. The traditional black oring gives the impression of old time butyl rubber while orange, green, or even clear makes one think of silicone rubber.
Ultimatly the color doesn't matter but it's hard to distinguish different kinda of orings with out making them different colors.

I'd like mine in orange so it would be easy to see if they are dirty and need a cleaning ang relube, aside from aesthetics. Black is ok, though, if I could I'd replace all my Orings with viton/some other high temp or high quality rubber of the most impervious and durable blend I could find.

In my case it's been easier to spot o-rings that need to be replaced when they're made in a lighter colour. It's also easier to find them in case you drop them on something that's dark or when you don't have a lot of light to work with.
