Re: TWAK, SWAK?

T and S are the flux ratings (T is brighter than S). WA in both cases has to do with the color (search chromaticity diagram). K is the forward voltage rating (increases with the alphabet).

Re: TWAK, SWAK?

Look here.

T-WA-K: T=67.2-87.4 Lumens, WA=Pure white color spectrum, K=vf 3.51-3.75v

S-WA-K: S=51.7-67.2 Lumens, WA-K=Same as above.

Hope that helped.

Re: TWAK, SWAK?

It's not clear to me at what current the Lux IIIs are rated. Is it at 700 ma, or at 1000 ma?

Lumileds give a rating for both drive levels, but the 1000ah option comes at the cost of a reduced lifespan (luminance maintenance).

Re: TWAK, SWAK?

I *think* the first figure, 67.2 lumens, is the max output@700mah, the second is the max output@1000mah. The Lumileds datasheet doesnt make it completely clear, it quotes 60 - 65 lumens@700mah and just gives one figure of 80 lumens at the higher drive level.

I remember this subject has been briefly touched upon before, but damned if i can find the thread.

Note that for white 3 watt, the 'S' ranges from 60.0 to 67.2
