Which is better for thrower?

M9 outthrows MT40 easily.
I don't have a cd for the M9, just an exaggerated 1,000 M claim in ads. (Unless it actually throws ~ as well as an Olight SR95 UT, etc)
Has anyone measured it?

M9 with 2x18650 does around 65klux/1m. That's basically twice as much as MT40.
Yeah, I think the MT40 is only ~ 33k cd or so.
They CLAIM #'s that would be 4 times more than you have, but, still, ~ 65 k cd is still strong throw.
So, Alexi - Is there an example of what you hope to be able to see at what range?
Like, "I want to be able to see if there's a hole in my fence from 100 meters away", etc.
