Is my Caveman T6 done for?

Hi I have a ShiningBeam XM-L T6 Caveman Cree and it stopped working. I tried changing the switch and nada. However, if I take the tailcap off and put a piece of metal against the battery end and the body of the flashlight it turns on...

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've had my SB Caveman, same model as yours, since Jan 2012. It works fine. If yours is under 1 year old, do the warranty route...

I was able to fix it! :twothumbs I did not know there is a ring under the tailcap piece on the main body that also unscrews, it was backed off slightly, tightened it and it works... I've also had mine since then, great light!

I have had a Caveman from SBeam since they first came out and find it 100% reliable. Shining beam also sells switches. I like to have a few in my kit for repairing other brands of lights. It sounds like there is a connection problem or bad switch.

Is my Caveman T6 done for?
