You can tell the brains at Time responsible for this never served in the armed forces of the United States of America.

Supposedly what Time means by "The American Soldier":

[ QUOTE ]
The choice represents the 1.4 million men and women who make up the U.S. military...

[/ QUOTE ]

U.S. Marines, Airmen, Sailors and Coastguardsmen will get what I'm talking about.

I have that issue. Hey, that's a black MiniMag on Specialist Billie Grimes' vest (the soldier in the center). You can also see another black MiniMag being used by PFC Joshua Linton to search a drawer on page 46 (you can see the yellow-orange beam too). Sorry, it's the flashaholic in me.

That's a Surefire 6-volt Model "M16" (weaponlight) on the soldier's rifle on the right, and you can also see if you look closely, the pressure-pad switch's line running back to the forearm heatshields. The Surefire M16 It's essentially a modified 6P, with shock-isolated Z32 bezel, barrel-clamp mount, and the modified tailcap which incorporates a master on/off flag switch, and also the instant-on/pressure-pad switch.

It's the same clamped-on model (attached to barrel under the front sight) you see in my sigline graphic. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
