I have an ancient (not terribly old, probably about 50 years or so…) Bond Flashlight. The switch works wonderfully but the "flash" (Which is what I've seen it called but also have seen morse button) button, the button that sits above the switch, does not work…It's a temporary on button, if you engage the switch one click you can then press the button for momentary light. Does anyone know how to clean this or get it to work again? I will try and get some pictures…I've tried cleaning it before but to no avail, I was looking for some fresh suggestions to get this cool thing working again!

Can yo take the head off? If so, look down the barrel and see if you can see the mechanism. If so maybe you could reach it with a tool with some cloth, like a gun cleaning rod with cleaning solvent on it, and see if you can clean it up. Not sure if it is corrosion, but you can rule that out.

edit: If you can not access the mechanism via head, take the tailcap off and do the same thing.
