Streamlight Super Tac IR

Ive been using the Streamlight Super Tac IR for about six months now with great results. Is there a more effective IR flashlight out there? for a cheaper price but throws as much light as far as the super Tac IR?

I know this is an older thread, but short of using an aspheric lens on a P60 type light with an IR drop in, I think the answer would be "no". I picked up a TLR-1 IR unit last night, and holy moly it projects a nice concentrated hot spot about a hundred yards out.

I can't imagine how much distance you'd get out of the SuperTac with that deep reflector. I'd say keep on using it with the confidence that it's probably the best throwing LED based IR illuminator out there!
