E05SS, E05, LD02, LD01SS Quick Pic

Received our E05SS today. Here's a quick snap. The E05 isn't quite as nice as the LD01SS. I would say the machining is on par with the PD10SS if you've handled that before. The E05SS does feel significantly heavier than the featherweight counterpart.

Hybrid for some weight savings? Sure. Doesn't thread down all the way. The reverse doesn't work as the Au E05 head doesn't contact even when screwed down.

It does. It has the same lens as the LD02 and really, same performance spec except for the maximum output. Personally I can't see these displacing the LD01 SS and E05. If I didn't have any then I might pick the LD02 but otherwise not a keeper for me. Luckily they don't cost me much
