SF beamcover for shock resistance/protection?

I have a beamcover for my M2. I suppose if it landed on the edge of the bezel right against the beamcover, it MIGHT add a tiny bit of additional shock absorption. But I feel more confidence in M2/M3/M6's shock isolated bezel or G2/G2Z's nitrolon form factor for protecting the lamp assembly.
