Let's have a look at the Nitecore CB6!

This is one of the 5 Chameleon-versions, the CBlue6. This version is designed for hunting and fishing, blue light shows dark colors better than white light.
Blue light won't disturb fish, so you can lit up your fishing float at night...

At first, I'll give you some specs:

- LED: XP-G2 (R5) and blue LED (3 Watts) with a lifespan of 50,000 hours
- Smaller (5mm) LEDs for red, green and blue light
- Durable Type III hard anodised finish
- Tactical tail cap switch
- Specially toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating and metal reflector. This reflector is treated with a special coating for improved light output.
- 5 x light modes, strobe, SOS and beacon mode (flashes intermittently):
- Lower (1 ANSI lumen, 400 hours)
- Low (25 ANSI lumens, 43 hours)
- Mid (160 ANSI lumens, 7 hours)
- High (280 ANSI lumens, 3 hours 30 min.)
- Turbo (440 ANSI lumens, 1 hour 45 min.)

The above run-times apply to the white LED.
- Beacon mode (to locate the torch in darkness)
- Beam throw: 190 m (ANSI norm)
- Digitally regulated output for maintained constant light output
- Blue LED in side switch indicates battery status
- Runs on 2 x CR123A batteries or 1 x 18650 battery (Button Top)
- Ability to tail stand
- Length: 14.3 cm
- Diameter: 2.54 cm (body)
- Diameter: 4.0 cm (head)
- Weight: 138 grams excl. batteries
- Waterproof according to the IPX-8 standard

The package contents the light and a lot of accessories: Tactical ring and clip, lanyard, spare o-rings and switch, two CR123A batteries
and a holster. Good job Nitecore!

Fits also in the holster with added clip

My first impression: Good looking light, good anodized and well greased

Operation:
The light has two side buttons and a tactical switch. The tail switch is for on/off and momentary, the side buttons for mode selection.
One button for color and one for white modes. Press and hold will activate the strobe, beacon and SOS mode. The light has also
instant turbo for white and primairy blue, you must press and hold the side button and press the clicky at same time.

The CB6 has a lot of white light modes: five different brightness levels and also beacon, strobe and SOS-mode.

and of the color modes

In color mode you can choose between: double red/green/blue led or red/blue strobe modes and three levels of the primairy
3000 mW led.

and primairy blue

As you can see, the light has a nice white beam with medium throw and a good tint. The blue beam has surprised me, it
has more throw than the 66 meters given by Nitecore.
The CB6 has well balanced white modes. The difference between the RGB-leds and the primairy blue led is quite a lot.

Of course a fishing light has to be IP-X8

Conclusion:

What I like:

+ good and complete white modes, including strobe, beacon, SOS and ultralow
+ good finishing and greasing
+ surprising primairy blue light
+ many accessories
+ tailstand

What I wish:

- Illuminated side buttons, now difficult to find in the dark
- Better/bigger RGB led's
