used a solarforce ss lanyard ring....but still experimenting as its 1mm thick needa to be a bit thinner so used a bit fuse wire in tailcap to make up the difference ...hopefully find a washer is possible....beats putting a o ring through the clip

Success ...after a few hours sanding down and enlarging the inside diameter it now fits perfectly. ..almost still sticks out maybe 1 mm or less but I think sanding may weaken it too much...we shall see

Maybe need to experiment on a few clips but thinking that having an overlap is unavoidable....someone with more skill may prove me wrong. ..
