Just buy eneloop and forget about the rest.Plenty of deals on them around and the competition are not really much cheaper if you are a savvy shopper.

I was going to suggest Eneloops, but the OP wasn't very specific as to his needs--NiMH, li-ions, etc.

That's why I just gave him the link to HKJ's great reviews.

More reading the better Chris and as you know the name Eneloop will keep popping up.
