The surefire E1D and E1L I ordered just arrived and the pamphlet with the E1D indicates the R1 Lawman has been upgraded to 800 lumens and the Fury has been upgraded to 600 lumens.

The Fury has been listed at 600 lumens in a lot of their literature for about 2 years but there hasn't been a change in the specs yet. The Lawman and a bunch of other lights saw an increase in output in the 2014 SureFire catalog but the 1200 lumen M6LT is the only one I have personally laid hands on that has been upgraded so far.

In all of the above cases it seems the increase is coming from an emitter change, from the XM-L to the XM-L2.

Hi 880arm, it is a common knowledge that our eyes can't really make out the difference between 500 and 600 lumens without close scrutiny, but I am really surprised to see such a drastic difference in your review between the P1R and the Fury. Really makes me feel if it is worth it to acquire the latest upgraded model of the Fury or a P1R. I really like the idea of running an 18650 and might go for a P1R one day.

I just got an email from Surefire and they upgraded their high end 800 lumen lights to 1000 lumens as well as the R1. The MLS got the official bump to 1200
