The original incan buld in my E1E kicked the bucket the other day and I decided to upgrade, with a 2nd gen KL1 led head I grabbed up off eBay. I would like to run it with an RCR123A (Tenergy 900mah) battery instead of a CR123A, would this be ok, or would the rechargeable hurt the led? Thanks for stopping by.

It's my understanding that the KL1 will fit the E2e (6 volts) as well as the E1E (3 volts). So.... it should work with an RCR123. Check the paperwork that came with the KL1....

Is the KL1 that you have the one with the square-ish beam? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 1st Gen KL1 is the ribbed version, 2nd Gen KL1 is the one with square-ish beam and approx 40 lmns. if that's the one you are referring to, I also have that one and I can tell you that it works on my E1e with 1xRCR123 and in my E2e with 2xCR123.

Btw, I'm looking to find someone to mod my E1L with a new driver and updated LED. :naughty:

All KL1 will work very well with RCR123. But they don´t get dimmer if the battery goes dry. You have to use protectet batterys only.
