FS: RPM Clickie "C" Series Tail Switches… Titanium "V4"

Titanium Slimline "V4" Clickie Tail seen on far left.
The diameter is just slightly bigger (1.250") than the Black Slimline "V3" (1.125") shown next to it...
For reference, the Black and Natural "V2's" on the right are 1.350" diameter.
Like the other Slimline, it obviously doesn't tail stand... but it's easier to activate with a thumb.

Please post with the next available number from the lists below to secure a spot.

The two new Ti versions here are identical except the size of the chamfer around the top edge.
The first one on the left has larger chamfers that create more "facets" and on the right side the chamfer size
is similar to the Black "V3" slimline next to it shown above.

Ok... the truth is that the oversize chamfer was a mistake! But... I liked the look and made some more that way. :)

And just for fun... An old school M3 with upgrades to the "Heads and Tails" in Ti

History:
This is a continuation of the RPM tail switches that started with the "C" Series.
This is the first offering in Titanium for the "C" series.

Production Lots:
1) This is the first lot in Titanium for "C" Series

Compatibility:
1) The ground path is made at the end of the body tube you are attaching these to. The threads and the end of the battery body must be free of anodize to create a contact. If the threads are anodized, then the tail must be able to screw down far enough to contact the battery tube end. I have successfully attached these to the following SF lights... M3, C3, 6P, 6Z, G2. The following will need a spacer, U2 (Early model, see post) and Fury.

2) Because of the length of the spring on the switch, the negative end of the battery must be within approx. 1/4" of the end of the battery tube. In some configurations, you will need a battery spacer to close the gap so the spring will make good contact. The battery spacers are a "delrin" ring with a brass center contact. I am making these in two battery (diameter) sizes, CR123 (16340) and 18650. Both are approx. 1/4" thick at the brass contact.

Description:
1) 6AL-4V Titanium
2) Includes McClickie switch and rubber boot.
3) This version "V4" does not "Tail Stand"
4) External surfaces are lightly touched with "Scotchbrite" to remove any sharp edges.
5) Other finishes available on request for a small fee.... polished, bead blast or tumbled.

Re: Feeler... Titanium Slimline "C" Clickie

Just wondering how many "C" size Ti lights are out there without some tail?

RPM, Any plans for a tail standing version? Like the two on the right in the pic. I'd take one of them, possibly two depending on the price :)

I too would prefer the shape of the V2 / "tailstanding" version instead :)

If I have to decide between the two, I would go for the one that can Tailstand.

It would be difficult to say without an estimated price. Will anodizing be available?

Re: Feeler... Titanium Slimline "C" Clickie

I prefer to own a complete light with matching parts all made by the same custom maker/manufacturer so my answer is the same as for your E-series tails. If you're going to make matching C-series bodies and heads, then I'd definitely be interested in a C-series tailstanding tail.

I love your E-series tail but I'm hoping that I'll be able to mate it up with RPM E-series body and head. :)

Thats like inviting a girl for coffee and it ends up being a 3 course in a michelin. Not enough resources to begin with ;-)

If I had to decide....

Both versions Please!

And the E series body and head, and the C series body and head.

:thanks:

You mean, when you see how well things go with the "coffee night", you're in the mood in for a more regular arrangement? ;)

I'd be interested in a tailstanding slimline "C" in Ti.
