I set strobes in many of our windows from time to time, just to scare the neighbors, like something has gone very wrong with our home, also, if the power goes out like last week, our house had strobes flashing in every room pointing up at the ceiling and out the windows! Some red some blue. Just a cool show.
A few years ago at my studio, I was testing remote radio slave flash gear on several of my large studio strobes, and the light was visible for miles in the night sky. People came by to see what it was, some told me they exited I-10 to find the flashes! But no authorities came by, good I guess, they would have shut down my testing.
