Does anyone else think it is stupid that Nitecore puts a picture of a trash can on their flashlights?

Yep, together with all the other little crap around it. the light looks messy. My olights / fenix are much cleaner looking than my Nitecore - it sorta looks cheap. they really should just come up with a simple logo and go with just that.
I am more than happy with my Nitecore products, and I am a huge Fenix fan.
Its called the WEEE directive logo, the Trashcan symbol is to indicate that the flashlight must be recycled and cannot be treated as regular trash at the end of its life cycle where incineration or burial could leach potentially hazardous materials.
The Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment 2002/95/EC (commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive or RoHS) adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. My guess is the absence of this logo prevents the European retail of the device. Almost like the FCC logo here for telecom equipment.
So how do you explain the fact that I can buy just about every other brand of Flashlight here in Europe and they don't have trashcan logos on them?
It is on this light. It means don't throw away, recycle when the flashlight is history!!
Use the magnifier on the first picture showing the entire light!

An anal and nervous legal team covering their butts? I don't know. I think it would only make sense though if it came with installed rechargable batteries. Not that user-installed batteries can be thrown away, but if it was supplied from the manufacturer up front I think it makes sense.
