Again, nice photos ;) Used my H602w yesterday, when walking the dog. Love the wide-angle that lights-up the road from side to side.

Been wondering about getting one of these.

Not searched for an answer yet, but does the forum specify settings to be used for beam shots?
Things like exposure and colour balance temperature setting for the camera ?

Not that I know of. But normally you choose the settings that gives a close to real life image. Of course there are many factors that you've to take in mind.

As you say 'real life' and that is the problem.
Our eyes are so adaptable and have such an amazing range.

If there was a standard colour temp setting to use, then we'd see the lamp colour tint variations much better, or at least be able to compare one persons shots to anothers.

Any chance of a beam shot taken in a car as a head torch while using as dashboard illumination. At lowest moonlight setting?

It's always trying different settings, and comparing them. I always note the settings used.

I've been struggling not to get a new headlamp to replace my loyal companion Spark ST6 500cw. Mine doesn't have the firefly mode yet, which is common for all the zebras and would make it perfect to navigate around the house at night.
I'm interested in the "H602w" version. The result is much nicer outside and I use it outside all the time. Because the Spark is 80º beam with a 10º hotspot (if I'm not mistaken), widening the field of vision should be so much nicer while performing tasks in the garden/field when there's no light. No more frosted lens. I'm so tempted...
