New Nitecore Explorer Series, EA21

Sharing. Nitecore is again coming out with new light as the year ends. Check out this new EA21 running on 2xAA batteries.

Ehhh, not feeling it but it does say that it'll run on lithium-ion AA rechargeable batteries, but they don't specifically state 14500s.

Go to the very bottom of their pages and click on Download - There you can download the user manual where it says that 14500 are Banned:-(

They made a Boo-Boo.

Why would you want to run this off 14500's? Are you expecting a higher turbo than 360 lumens? Or an optional 1xAA tube?

There is also an EA11, which will run on a 14500, with more output than with one AA.

Ideal for my work use(2xaa and on eneloops) I like the high output 220lm,this and what Timothy mentioned the ea11 appeals. Can rotate with my works e25 and t10s

Yes, I didn't see anywhere, where an 8.4v driver was mentioned.

Am I the only one that finds a bit strange that it lasts only 30h at 1 lm? For me that sounds like an error. A runtime of 300h at 1 lm sounds much more reasonable to me. Anyone having that light can confirm the runtime @ 1lm?
