I've had my NW XML2 F42 for a while, excellent light for the price.
I originally wanted an XPG version but at the time only XPG with about 1.5A was available so anyway I disassembled it and replaced the 20mm star with a new one with an XPG2 3C R5 and wow.
Perfectly focused, tight hot spot which must be around 50KCD?
Beats my Klarus XT30 XML2 and even competes with my Fenix TK75 XML2 for throw.
I believe you can now buy them stock with the 2.2A driver and XPG2 like my modded one.
By far the best XML to XPG conversion I've done.
Definitely worth a look for those after a smaller thrower that packs a punch.
Just tested it against my best thrower, Olight M3X XML2, and it lost convincingly. Still pretty good though for it's size as it eats all my other similar lights e.g. M22.

Just did a tail cap measurement and got around 1.95A on high and 1A on medium.
The XPG2 loves it though and gives the best, whitest tint from the emitter I've seen from it.
I got a handful of these particular XPG2's and put one in a Sunwayman T20CS and C20C, I thought the T20CS was impressive with what must be around 30KCD but the bigger F42 looks more than twice as bright with a tighter hot spot.
I'd like to test these lights with a light meter and know the exact figures but it's clear to see that the F42 with 2.2A driver and XPG2 is a real winner with double the throw of something like an Armytek Predator.
