Snagged a Novatac classic on a closeout from Amazon.

Question: Is it okay to run it on a 17670 battery? I have the HDS tube from Lighthound and the form factor is PERFECT.
I tried it for a few seconds, seems fine, but don't want to fry it.

Thanks!

Perfectly fine. If its anything like the old HDS EDC's it should also have over voltage protection too!

Thanks for the response!

I recall selfbuilt's review of the Classic series and there seemed to be a slightly lower voltage range for the light since it ran on 2 AA's and not 1 CR123.
