Ii sold an Oster hand massager for my mother last month on ebay and made one change after I listed it a few minutes later, below is a copy of the inovoice. There were 3 columns on the right for credit , debit and balance but they didn't past properly on this page. I sold a massager for $38, made one edit 8 minutes after first listed and placed one extra picture in the add. Imagine the money side of the post all lined up in order, still somewhat daunting to decipher.

Are they always like that or was the computer in a bad mood the day you ordered?

it was listed in two categories..
Listed in category: Everything Else > Health & Beauty > Other Health & Beauty Items
Also listed in: Everything Else > Health & Beauty > Nutrition & Wellness > Massage > Massagers > Other Massagers

That effectively doubles the listing fees.

I lined up everything in notepad before I transferred it here but couldn't get the colums to line up properly, I left it just to give the gist of their billing. By the time paypal take it's chunk,( I have them send me a check because I don't want to give them access to my checking account for any reason) they (paypal) and ebay get about 12% of the proceeds for my mothers oster massager that I talked her into getting on ebay, I paid for shipping and various fees.

That's a big list of transactions.

I save money from ebay listings:
- by hosting the pictures myself
- keeping the auction duration to 7-days
- don't bother with buy-it-now

What's the designer fee?

And what about the sub-title fee? Is that to bold the title in the listing?

I never opt for the extra features in my eBay listings. Maybe some of them make sense for high-priced items or retail sellers, but I've had very good luck with simplicity: title, description, single picture, one category, and 7-day auction.
