Hi, first time post here.

I have a Surefire E1B that I love! I carry it everywhere. I want to disassemble it, so I can remove the anodizing and polish/bead blast it. How do I get it apart? I've obvioulsy unscrewed the tailcap and head, but haven't got any farther. I don't want to break anything!

any help would be great!

If you are speaking about removing the bezel from the head, then carefully applied heat is the answer. SF uses a threadlocking compound, which loosens up with heat. Not too much, or you'll tweak the anodizing.

Sometimes a pair of strap wrenches will do it. But as DrafterDan says the threadlocking usually needs heat. I've also done it with vise grips and 1/8" thick neoprene rubber but you can run a risk of penetrating the rubber and scratching the finish
