FS:Nickel plated Copper P60 modules. XHP-70 3000+ OTF lumen!

Hi all, >>>>>>>>XHP 70 OPTION and NEW HIGH OUTPUT DRIVER<<<<<<<<<

12/17/15 New Nickel plated bulbs now available!!

Copper will tarnish over time, but the new nickel finish remains bright for a lifetime!

These bulbs are for Surefire 6P. They will also work in a variety of other P60 hosts, but use of copper tape may be requried to ensure proper heat transfer.

EMITTER OPTIONS

XHP-70 N4 6500K
XHP-70 N4 5700K
MT-G2 Q0 5000K

Power source is 2x li-ion ONLY ( batteries NOT included)
Usable combinations are as follows.
1. 2x IMR 16340s
2. 2x IMR 18350s
3. 2x 18650s that are at least 6-7 amp capable.

DO NOT USE lithium primary cells.
DO NOT USE standard NON IMR 16340s or 18350s.

IF you still are not clear on what cells you can and cant use or why please ask. There is no shame in asking for help:thumbsup:.

DRIVER OPTIONS
In the new version the standard 3000ma driver will be replaced with an FET board which is essentially direct drive giving much higher currents, up to 7+ amps depending on emitter VF and what cells are used. If anyone prefers to still have a cap on the output 7135 drivers can still also be used.

OPTION 1
Adventure Sport UI™
The UI consists of 4 groups.
1. Ramp mode low to high with memory.
2. Low 2%, Med 25%, High 100% with memory.
3. Low 2% Med 25%, High 100%, Srobe, SOS, Beacon, NO memory.
4. High 100%, Low 15%. No memory

The light will come preset to your choice of group if needed.
Mode groups are switched by 8 fast clicks <.25 sec.

Here is a video of the UI in action.

OPTION 2

DrJones Universal guppy2drv Firmware

This firmware can be left with the programming mode "open" so all of the groups are available. Or you can choose ONE and it can be permanently locked in essentially giving you only the modes in the group number. It also offers a "tubo timer" option to prevent over heating.

This firmware allows the ultimate in user customizability, with 24 built-in mode groups, that the user can select via a series of button presses and a user programmable turbo timer that will automatically step the power down to 50% after the set time is hit (see below for instructions).

User Selectable Groups:

  1. 1% - 25% - 100% | Memory
  2. 1% - 25% - 100% | No Memory
  3. 100% - 25% - 1% | No Memory
  4. 1% - 25% - 100% - Strobe | No Memory
  5. 1% - 25% - 100% - Strobe | Memory
  6. 10% - 100% | Memory
  7. 10% - 100% | No Memory
  8. 100% - 10% | No Memory
  9. 100%
  10. 100% - Strobe | No Memory
  11. Strobe - 100% | No Memory
  12. ML - 2% - 25% - 100% | Memory
  13. ML - 2% - 25% - 100% - Strobe - Beacon | No Memory
  14. ML - 100% | No Memory
  15. 100% - ML | No Memory
  16. ML - 100% | Memory
  17. ML - 1% - 5% - 15% - 40% - 100% | Memory
  18. ML - 1% - 5% - 15% - 40% - 100% | No Memory
  19. 100% - 40% - 15% - 5% - 1% - ML | No Memory
  20. 100% - 40% - 15% - 5% - 1% - ML | Memory
  21. 1% - 5% - 15% - 40% - 100% | Memory
  22. 1% - 5% - 15% - 40% - 100% | No Memory
  23. 100% - 40% - 15% - 5% - 1% | No Memory
  24. 100% - 40% - 15% - 5% - 1% | Memory

Guppydrv Instructions

To switch mode groups: rapidly tap the switch 8 times, the light will then enter the programming mode and begin to flash. With the light in programming mode, tap the switch the same number of times as your desired mode group. The light will blink and your mode group will be memorized.

Example: To select mode group 3, tap the switch 8 times quickly to enter programming mode. As soon as the light enters programming mode and beings flashing, tap the switch three times. The light will blink to recognize the mode group change.

To set the turbo timer: rapidly tap the switch 8 times, the light will then enter the programming mode and begin to flash. With the light in programming mode, tap the switch 30 times to enter the turbo timer set mode. The light will then switch to 100% power. When the light is at the desired temperature for the turbo step down, turn the light off. The turbo timer will then be set. The turbo timer steps the light down to 50% regardless of the mode group set.

To disable the turbo timer simply go into program and cut it off in >3 seconds.

New XHP-70

MT-G2
mUP5H3.jpg

I really dont know exactly how to describe the beam from this accept to say WOOOAAAHHH! The MT-G2 emitter coupled with the MOP reflector provide the softest smoothest beam you will ever see. Zero artifacts. To sum it up I would say its very similar to a mule IF a mule could throw. It has a full width beam and just enough hot spot to call it a spot up close. I would say its reach is about 3-5 times that of a mule.

Control shot is Surefire 6P with over driven 9P incan bulb.

What are the AMPS?

Is this the FED DD Driver or 3A Driver?

These look nice; Sounds like these ones are all spoken for, but I still had a couple of questions:
- What is the color temp on these?
- Any way to mod the driver for high-only?
Thanks,

HI Kestrel,

Yes, the driver could be single mode, or if a person wanted it could even work direct drive with the correct cells.

EDIT: If you would like to added to the list for the next batch please post your "I'll take" and the number of modules followed by imitate payment. If you do not pay, you will NOT be added to the list.

Lead time on the next batch will be about 10 days because I will have to order more emitters.

Hmm. I'm interested in the tint too. Any run time on medium?

What color temps might be available on your pending order?

Oh, ya sorry... The current batch is 5000K in a P0 bin which is currently the highest available ( its not even on the data sheet). Is there some color in particular you would like?

Hmm. I'm interested in the tint too. Any run time on medium?

Run time would be figured like this. To get runtimes you go max output times percentage used. So in this case 3000 x .25%= current draw of 750ma. So on a pair of 18350s you would get about an hour. :)

Thanks. 5000k. I like that tint. Just like my Malkoff Wildcat V5, but portable.

Re: FS: Copper P60 modules. MT-G2 1600+ OTF lumen!

Is it most floody like M61 or does it have any throw? Or is more like Malkoff M91? Kind of hard to gauge from the pic, though one can see it's pretty bright.

Oh man. I haven't bought anything but parts in forever, but this is tempting. Will you be making more at a later date?
