Hello everyone .

So i just buy two incredible flashlight's. I love them but there just something a little
off about my TN12 i ordered it from amazon about a week .
It claims to be a 2014 but its not indicated on the light. ive been searching for the 1050 lumen.
Haven't seen it . Can't see a difference from 800lumen. I have a 3400mah 3.7v 18650 in it .
Any suggestions? So thats with the tn12 overall i like it.

So about the p12 2015 i just got it Today so far i dig It.
I got this spare battery i got from batteries plus . Its a 2600mah 3.6v.
when i kick it too 1000 lumen it just turns off.
Any ideas about it turning off deal?

:welcome: kt. If you get the PD35 you'll complete the trilogy. The mode spacing of the TN12 always intrigued me. .... :D

No mention made of having charged the batteries. The batteries as sold only come partially charged, so once you asked of them full power for turbo, they didn't have it to give.

Charge the batteries and report back.

Well i can honestly say that
my NUON 2600mah 3.6v might be under power for both
lights . Both tn12 and p12 works fine until i kick it to turbo mode and it just turns off and i cant get it back to any other mode except for when i replace the battery with my 3400mah 3.7v

Thrunite TN12 is known to have no notable difference between 800 and 1000 lm modes if you're using a bad battery. The behaviour of P12 seems weird. Maybe the protection circuit (if you're using protected Li-ions) in your battery is not allowing such a high current drawn. Maybe both of these problems are fixed when you update your batteries to a better one. Who is the manufacturer of your 3400 mAh battery?

I ordered two 3400 mAh Keeppower 18650's with my TN12 and I've been satisfied. When freshly charged I can see a little bump in output when changing from 800 to 1000 lm but it's soon gone.

I have the TN12 and I have 2 Thrunite 18650 3400 mAh batteries. I can see a slight difference between 800 and 1050 for a short time. Maybe 45-60 min. max. There is a difference though.

They've stopped printing "(2014)" on the light. The one I purchased in December didn't have it, but the previous one I returned in early November did. ThruNite has an explanation on the product page that refers to this and states they are including a printed serial number on new batches. I can see a noticeable difference between high and turbo with a full battery (KeepPower 3400 mAh 18650s). I don't use that setting too often though. Just don't need it. Especially in the woods. I use this light as a backup and tracking light for hunting. The neutral tint really helps and is a nice contrast to my M22 when trying to find a blood trail. I haven't used it in another setting though... I really love the tint, but I've returned 2 because of quality issues with the threads between the head and body.

You will need good batterys for the TN12. When I use my cheap xxxxfire batterys there is no bump from 800 but when I use a better battery I can see a slight bump. I recently aquired a very good quality battery 3400mah and I can see a good bump from 800 to 1050

buy some good quility 4.2v 18650 batteries. charge them up before use and you should have no issues with turbo mode. NUON are budget batteries...Theres the first indication.

I can notice a difference in mine too, can't comment on the time, I've not used it for that long period.
Remember that You'll only get 1050 output when run on two 123's.
I've only used a 18650 battery so far, I wonder what I'm actually seeing then? LOL

I don't know if it jumps to 1050, but it is brighter between high and turbo on fully charged 18650s. Selfbuilts review showed similar results. Does this difference matter in real world use? Not likely. The two levels are too close together to begin with...

For a short period of time Thrunite stopped printing "(2014)" on the TN12. This stopped quickly and they now make TN12's with 3 different stampings I believe. One just says TN12 and has a batch number printed next to it, the second is the original TN12(2014) and the third is even more confusing as it says TN12(2014) as well as having the batch number printed underneath that I believe.

The 2014 TN12 does indeed hit 1050 lumens on an 18650 just remember to use nothing less than 3100mah like Selfbuilt did. The light will hit 1070 lumens on CR123's but is not advised as the light get hotter faster that way. RCR123's are not advised either even though they produce a bit less lumen something about a 2x source set up just drives the light to hard...
