Good day, everyone!

I just bought myself a pila charger and 2 150S Li-ion batteries.
After reading several topics on Li-ion, I found that they could be quite dangerous. Now I'm not sure whether it is safe running a P91 HOLA with 1000mAH Li-ion since it is gotta be over 1C...from what I heard of the P91 draws over 1A and the rated capacity of the cell is just 1000mAH.

Many thanks for your comments.

Billy,

this combination is reported to be quite yellow but safe.

Its yellow as the 1000ma 150S cells seem unable to supply the needed 2.3A without major voltage drop and therefore underdrive the P91 bulb. I think its safe as the PILA cells do have an in-built protection circuit.

I´m running a P91 with 2 bare 17500 bare Li-Ions (1100ma) cells and its really nice and bright - but not as safe though as the bare cells don´t have such protection as the PILAs do.

Do a search - the user(s) who did (or do?) run this combo wrote about it - this is where I think I got my knowledge from - I personally don´t have an PILA cells so I can´t speak from my own experience.

Thanks, Klaus

I searched for P91 and Pila, but it seems that not many users use this combination.
