So got this idea from the web
Sanded plastic reflector with 2000grit till it was blue.
Painted with special bead blast paint from Harley.
Boom exactly the beam I was after. Pure flood. There is no hot spot beam its the camera making it appear from the lux.of the red emitter.

You realize of course, you posted an LED mod to the Incan forum.

That might be an act of treason.

How about enough details to do this? What paint?

I got a floody, even beam too with the xenon lamp by spraying clear acrylic on the reflector.
I lay out the reflector on concrete under the sun, then one pass(just enought to deposit a coarse finish)about 10 inches away.
Let it dry, them repeat two more times.
Instant orange peel reflector that got rid of the rings on the incan beam.

That bead blast paint looks pretty cool. I've done the clear Krylon sputter job on my Mag reflectors, works pretty well.

So you sanded a little plastic reflector and spray painted it, what's with the drill and vice grips?

I did something similar a few year back on an C/D old reflector using "chrome" paint.

Came out almost like the OP's. But mine was very floody with almost no throw what so ever.

Here's how it ended up;

How does your drop-in fit? Just got the same one the other day and I cannot seem to get it to stay put. As in when its on, if I shake the light or move fast with it the light will turn off. Not making good contact. Have any trouble like that?
