I made a few of those spacers. I took a short screw and put it through a couple of nylon washers, I had just the right sized screws and washers for the stylus tube. There's a lot of other ways, maybe a cut length of a spring like from a pen insulated with tape, not covering the top/bottom, to keep it straight for not shorting out in the tube.
