Really cool. Brave move on the KL3! I would say it turnt out very nice!
I bought the KL3 that way. I might upgrade it yet, to get a little more lumens...
and I'm occasionally watching for a GID o-ring for the tailcap/body gap...

Nope. The head is an unknown though. it was thought to have a coating, but it really doesn't look like it, but it could just be a clear coat... I'm going to let it "age" as is, and see how it changes...
the grip ring worked well...
